Since childhood, my favorite things always included some sort of string or yarn. It began with crochet, then there was macrame, needlepoint, rug hooking, embroidery and eventually, in college, I found knitting and the rest as they say is history.
What’s not to love about knitting. Starting with finding yarn – exploring all the amazing shops and festivals. Discovering different kinds of yarn, picking the right color and texture. Then there is creating, figuring out what the fiber that screamed “take me home” should be. Turning a skein of nothing into something. Of course, there is the social aspect. Not only do you get to meet great people – but they all understand your obsession and believe me – it is an obsession.
I love that knitting quiets my inability to sit doing nothing without feeling guilty! Knitting is my zen moment of every day and I’d love to share it with you!
